Drywall Profile Roll Forming Machine

A comprehensive production line goes beyond just roll forming. A fully functional system integrates several key components to create a seamless, automated workflow from raw material to finished product :

1. Decoiler: This is the starting point, holding the heavy steel coil and feeding the strip metal into the machine. Options range from manual to hydraulic decoilers, capable of supporting several tons of material .

2. Roll Former: The heart of the line. It uses a series of precisely engineered roller stations (often 12 to 18 stations) to progressively bend and shape the flat metal strip into the desired profile. Rollers are typically made from high-grade steel like Cr12 with heat treatment for long life .

3. Punching Unit: This can be integrated either inline (before or during the roll forming process) or offline (after forming). It automatically punches holes or notches in the profiles for screw holes, service openings, or end cuts, adding value and reducing secondary processing .

4. Cutting System: A hydraulic or servo-driven cutting system, often a “flying cut-off,” shears the continuous profile to the precise length without stopping the production line, ensuring high accuracy and speed .

5. Receiving Table & Automatic Stacker: After cutting, the finished profiles are transferred to a receiving table. For maximum automation, this can be upgraded to an automatic stacker that organizes and stacks the profiles for easy handling .

6. Strapping & Bundling Device: The final stage often includes a strapping or bundling mechanism that secures the stacked profiles into tight bundles, ready for shipment and easy handling on the construction site .
